So I went to sleep last night around 6:30 am, having not set an alarm i woke up around 5 pm. slept for a good 10 and a half hours and felt kind of refreshed... even though i had a very weird and strange dream... which i will not talk about on here lol. thats right it was both weird and strange! so anyways i decided that i needed to get rid of the beard that i had let grow for about 2 weeks. shaved that crap off and got a shower and made my way to the casino around 7:30. i get to the casino just in time to watch noah bust the main event of the partouche poker tour...
gus hansen had opened the cutoff to 22k and noah 3 bet half of his stack to 110k from the small blind... i assumed he was planning on snapping off the rest of his stack if gus were to put him in which gus immediately did... but suprisingly (to me) he tanked for about a minute before calling with AJ.... gus had AK and it held. afterwards me and noah got into a discussion about why he took so long and he told me he was thinking about folding saying there was better spots.... i told him he should have 3 bet smaller to like 60-65k if he was planning on folding to a ship... (difference of opinion) all good w/e
anywhoooo.... so i went to see what cash games were running... i put my name on the list for 50/100 NL and 20/40 NL because the only game that was running was 3 tables of 10/20 NL... so i sat down at one of those tables and it was kind of a dead game most guys sitting with like 1k... so i was at that game for about 1 hour and was down maybe 500 euros before the 20/40 opened up.... i played that game for about 3 hours and made 3200 euros before the 50/100 game finally was going to start so i was up around 2700 euros....
i went to the 50/100 game and sat with 6k... everyone else at the table was sitting with 5k to start its really weird that all of the cash games here the standard buyin is 50 bbs... very strange neways... i take down a few nice pots on bluffs we are playing 6 handed right now... 1 huge donk at the table... he stacks off right away to another player... and reloads another 5k...
i open like 2nd to act with 97dd in a 6 handed game this donk flats me from the sb and the bb flats me as well. flop comes 8 6 2 with one diamond... they both check to me i bet 450 planning on shoving if the donk raises me cuz he does that with air alot or 2nd pair and folds... and if the solid player in the bb raises me i would put him on a set and peel one for the nuts 10 or 6 obv... so anyways the sb donk guy flats me and bb folds... turn is an A... he checks and i try to rep the A and i bet 800... thinking back i probably should have checked b/c i dont this guy doesnt give up on hands easily.... so the guy flats and the river binks a 5... so i got the NUTS... he donks into me 2k and has like 1100 left so i shove and he folds lol... ship it...
I end up taking pot after pot playing really well and getting it in good... stealing pots here and there... I sucked out once kinda huge...
Donkish older guy opens utg in an 8 handed game to 300 with a 4200 stack... solid guy on hi jack flats... im on button with AKo i make it 1300... donk guy in the small blind shoves for 3300... im obv calling this but then the utg guy re shoves for his 4200... now i have a decision to make... im calculating the odds and how i have to call 2900 more for a pot that is already like 6k... so i figure if neither has AA then its the right call. i put the utg guy on QQ KK AA AK and the sb guy i figured TT+ AK... so i call... i ask them, "either of you got aces" utg guy says yea i do! im like ahhh great! flop Qh 10c 8h... turn Jh the guy in the sb starts celebrating so im like thinking does he have a flush? no he must have JJ and think he is good... river 8 so now im like o man he filled up now... so he flips 9 9 lol and im like o i got that beat show my AK and dude with AA is super pissed and shows his AA and gets up and leaves as the dealer ships the 11k pot to me weeeeeeeeeeee! so ya that was my one suckout... otherwise i think i pretty much just ran ok and played perfect. made about 26k euros tonight SHIP IT! so i got all my money back from the tobacle that was yesterday.
2moro i may just grind online... debating between playing the online donkaments and going to play more cash... it will be my last day in cannes, as my train leaves at 11 am on monday morning to go to barcelona. well anyways ill decide soon... me and noah going to go to breakfast now before going crashing... word!
