Well as most of you probably already know... i had a very disappointing showing at the final table of the PLO event 3 at the wsope. I entered the final table 2nd in chips with over double the stack of 6 of the 9 players at the table. pretty much every hand that i played i lost. i dont think i won a pot worth more than 10 bbs. Almost every all in player doubled up. I could have easily managed a 5th place or so if these players had been eliminated. I ended up taking down 8th place, on my bust hand i got the money in on basically a coin flip... i spiked on the turn, giving Theo only 8 outs... which he then re sucked and knocked me out.
I played the main event of the wsope yesterday... i was not feeling very well, but got my head on straight and started grinding. My table was INSANELY soft for what should have been in my mind, a very strong field. I had andy black and eric seidel at my table. Andy black plays weird and is easy to read... Seidel is solid and kind of nitty. I had tmay420 at my table aka Tim West... a very solid online crusher of MTTs, and then a solid older guy Jason Grey. Then there were 4 donks. I started taking down pot after pot never really having to showdown hands. I built my stack to about 40k. With about 10 mins left before dinner break, I decided to make an absolutely retarded play and tried to triple barrel eric seidel with K hi... he ended up shipping over my 11k river bet for only 7k more... which i obv had to fold to. it was so retarded, i dont even want to get into how bad i played the hand. So then i was kind of pissed i lost like half my stack right before dinner.
The dinner breaks at wsope are frickin 2 hours long... which is absolutely ridiculous. i'd prefer 1 hour... 90 mins is too long for me but its not terrible... 2 hours i just want to throw something. So i wait for what seems like forever to come back from dinner break. and on the first hand i have AQo in the bb. andy black is in the sb and raises to 800 150 300 blinds. i make it 2500, and he INSTANTLY makes it 8500... i only have 19k total. Looking back this should be a fold here every time vs him. I hadnt seen him 4 bet anyone yet in 6 hours except once when he had AA... every other time he was 3 bet he either snap called or folded. So his range here is JJ QQ KK AA AK... and i like a donk with no fold equity shove my AQ. He snap calls with KK. Heres the best part about the hand. Flop comes A 4 3... turn 6 RIVER K! lol whatever i deserve it for playing retarded. I'm gonna go play the 1k pound double chance omaha tournament over at the Vic at 6 pm today. We'll see how that goes. Im really debating on whether i want to extend my trip a few more days to go to niagara and play the WPT. ill have to figure it out soon i guess

no time to blog... bracelet hunting!
so in 2 hours im going to start the final table of wsope event 3 5k pounds!!! im 2nd in chips with a massive gap between me and 3rd and 3rd and 4th. first is around 400k US$ plus a bracelet... so it could be a huge day. sorry i havent been blogging lately... the internet at my hotel is pretty crap! actually my hotel here in London is pretty crap in general lol. whatever im a travelling nit. so hopefully i will ship the bracelet today and blog about it in a few days... wooohooo u can keep up with it on pokernews or wsop. heres a link for you guys....

wcoop blues
Well... its 3:30 pm right now. I woke up not to long ago. Was up pretty fairly late last night playing the wcoop main event and 2nd chance event. These 2 tourneys did not go so well... On the main event of wcoop... i was playing really good having run my 25k starting stack up to about 37k... at which point I got absolutely screwed by a total retard. I understand if i take a bad beat all in pre or a guy makes a reasonable play and gets lucky, but when i kno the guy is a fairly good player and he makes just an absolutely retarded no thought process play and hits a 2 outer it makes me go crazy. So in this hand... pretty standard pre flop action... I raise button he flats from sb. on the flop i like to check behind here b/c im not ready to play for stacks and i also wanna use my hand as a bluffcatcher. on the turn i pick up a flush draw and when he checks again i kno i have the hand and want to get value out of him having any pair or even something like AJ hes not folding to my turn bet... he will prolly pay off turn and river bets with like 77 88 etc. when he check raises... i knew immediately he didnt have much at all... only hand that makes sense that is beating me is 22. and when i say the only hand i mean the ONLY hand. even if he flatted pre with AQ or AA which is very unlikely seeing as how he has 3 bet me like last 3 times i raised button.... he then wouldnt check raise turn he would either check call trying to trap or lead the turn. i know he wont flat pre with a random 6 like 67s or A6s... so he either has 22 or im good. when the river came down a 4 and he then tanked and bet like half pot... i thought immediately 44... i was expecting a quick like 80-85% pot bet which i was going to snap call knowing i was good. lol so sick sometimes when u kno a guy just hit a 2 outer... such a pathetic hand... anyways i was left with like 15k and the blinds went to 400 800... few hands later c/o opens to 2k and i shove with TT and get snap called by KK gg me. sigh lol donkaments
I lost the 2nd chance having about 30 bbs with QQ... opened mid pos to 800 (150 300) button flats sb flats and the bb makes it 4200... huge squeeze imo no way its KK or AA... im never folding in this spot and i dont think anyone is really... so i ship and he snaps with AA yay!

lazyness.....
Well, its been quite a hectic 4 days since i last posted. I did not have time to post and say that I did make the final table of ept barcelona. I entered the final table 7th in chips because of losing a few flips 9 handed. I ended up finishing 6th... kind of disappointed seeing as how I was absolutely running that table over but no one would bust 9 handed b/c they were all a bunch of nits who were just trying to move up the money scale... and b/c no one busted for 3.5 hours it made the structure pretty terrible for the final table... but its all good... at the end of the day im happy with my performance and also with the nice payday.
As of right now, I am in ibiza, spain just chillin out for a few days relaxing at the beach and what not... right now im playing the wcoop 320$ NL 6 max event... i was also playing the 320R PLO event but got knocked out a few minutes ago. I plan on taking the next few days off from poker and just hanging out and having a good time over here. I fly back to barcelona on the morning of the 21st... which works out b/c that night is day 1 of the wcoop main event 5200$ (this is an online tournament btw) so im gonna just bunker down and play that tourney in barcelona b4 i head to london on the 23rd.
I dont really have the energy to make a long post... havent been in the mood to blog or even think really lol aight later

DAY 3 BABY... LETS DO IT!!!!!
Well its 2:15 pm right now and I don’t have much time to write this seeing as how the tourney starts up at 3 pm today… I just saw my table draw and it seems to be not too good… I got stevie444 and also chad brown at my table… im not too worried about it though just going to play poker like I know how to do.
Yesterday started off really rocky going into day 2 sixth in chips out of the remaining 200 or so players… I immediately lost 2 all ins with the best hand QQ vs AQ A on flop and KK vs AQ A on flop… That left me with about 37k from my original 79k stack… I then doubled up blind on blind with JJ vs A9… got my stack up to like 75k… then lost about 15k on the next hand blind on blind in a limped pot… I had Q7 dude had checked behind in the bb with A5 A A 7 flop turn 5 and I didn’t believe him… bad play. Then lost about another 15k on a value bet when I hit an A on the river board was K 8 4 J A… I had A7 and cbet the flop chk chk turn and I value bet the river putting him on KQ or K10… he called with KJ down to like 45k
I then doubled up with 33 opened utg to 2700 500/1k blinds… button 3bets to 6600 so I flat and flop 3 Q J I chk he bets 6600 I make it 15k and he shoves with A7 no hand… hmmm ship ship! Gave me about 95k at break…. I won a flip with 77 vs AJ to pick off a shortstack… took down a few nice pots and then just absolutely steamrolled my table as we got close to the bubble… I got my stack from about 140k to 200k… just stealing pots.

Spirits are high.... 2nd in chips after day 1a!
Well, its now 5 pm on September 11th, I just got back from the beach, went there for 2 hours or so with Sam and his friend Dave... The beach is beautiful today and the sun was shining... only thing that kind of sucked was that the water is way too cold for me so i did not go in. but it was still nice to go chill at the beach and relax after the long day yesterday.
Yesterday I woke up at about 10 am and went to go eat breakfast and then went to the pool to relax a bit before the tournament (EPT barcelona day 1a) started at 3 pm. When i showed up at my table, i looked around and didn't really recognize anyone at all. I was thinking o good, this is probably a soft table, there were maybe 4 old guys, and 3 guys who looked around 30 yrs old... and 2 empty seats with dead stacks to start. Before the tournament started I quickly asked one of the pokernews reporters if i could have a piece of paper and a pen so that I could write down hands so that I could post them here later. I wanted to have more detailed analysis on here and if i make it all the way till 2 am it would be hard to remember all hands and bets.
So I fold maybe the first 6 or 7 hands and i realize that the guy directly to my left seems to be very very solid and aggressive... i could just tell he was a good player and a pro by the way he conducted himself and the way he bet and his bet sizing, bet timing everything. he opened a few pots right away so i figured he was going to be difficult to deal with.
Here are a few important hands throughout the tourney:
The first hand that I played I had JJ and i raised to 150 utg +2, guy to my left calls and button calls. flop J 7 2 rainbow... I cbet 350 first guy calls, button raises to 850, Im praying one of them has a set and I will double up early. I decide to just call cuz if they have a set they are gonna play anyway and i'd rather get more value out of a move/top pair. The flatter folds, turn comes a 9d so now there are 2 diamonds. I check, guy bets 1300, I wait a few seconds and raise to 3100 and the guy instantly folds. So he obv did not have a set, and the guy to my left says to my pocket Jacks or pocket 7s? which was it? lol so i kno he is a good player obviously
So now i have about 13k... next pot i open to 150 with TT and get 3 callers... flop 9d 2d 3x... i bet 400.. 1st guy folds 2nd guy calls 3rd guy folds. turn 6d... he checks i check. river 8d... 4 diamonds out there and he leads 600... i check my cards not sure if i have the T of d or T of hearts... i see i dont have a diamond but still call anyway which i think was a pretty awful call... b/c he bet about 2/5 pot which im only beating a bluff... even if he flips a set and is block betting i lose.... well he had QQ with Q of d so i muck my hand and am down to about 11.6k
I pick up 78cc facing a raise to 175 and a call... so i flat on the c/o... button flats behind flop A 7 7 rainbow... initial raise bets into 3 players 525. first guy folds i quickly flat to make it look like i have an A and want him to stop betting so that if he has AK or AQ he will fire the turn for sure. turn 5 no flush draw out there at all. he takes a second and then bets 1350... i quickly flat again to make him think i want him to slow down. but also i dont want to raise there b/c he would only play with AA if he is a good player or A7 but early pos raiser prolly AA is only thing he would have AK i think he folds to turn raise maybe not tho. so river is J and he takes like 15 seconds before betting 1350 again... so now i know 100% he doesnt have AA and i know my 7 is good... so i put in a raise to 3500... and he takes 30 seconds or so to call... i show he mucks. up to 17k
I have 77 in mid pos raise to 275 w/ 50 100 blinds... good player on my left flats and everyone else folds, flop comes K 8 5 rainbow.... i bet 350 he calls... turn 4... i pick up gutshot... i check he bets 850 and i call thinking maybe he is floating with AQ or something and i want to fire a big bet if i hit 7 or 6 on river and maybe get paid if he has KQ ish. river J... i check he bets 2700 and i quickly fold... I 3bet the guy to my left twice with one orbit... once with J 10 and 2nd time with AK from sb to his button raise...
Im sitting with about 16k and i look down at rockets (AA)... there is a limper utg, so i make it 475 utg +2... limper is only caller... flop 10 5 3 rainbow and the guy donk leads for 800... i think about just calling but i think a call there looks really strong and he will only play on turn if he has one pair beat... so i decide to raise to 2100... im expected him to shove or fold b/c he has about 6300 left... he just calls and leaves himself with about 5k. turn J... he checks... and i shove my stack in pot was already about 5100 and he had 5k so he instantly folded and i put up the pot.
Im at about 19.1k and i am in the bb with 78 off... the sb completes (75/150 level) and i check... we are heads up. flop A 6 4 rainbow... he bets full pot 300... i call to float... also i figure a 5 is the joint and 7 or 8 may be good for 2nd pair. turn 5 NUTS! he checks i bet 500 and he quickly calls so i figure now he actually does have the A... river K he checks i bet 1500 and he quickly calls again and mucks to my 7 8 nuts... and said nh i had A3. up to 21.5k
Facing a raise to 400 utg +2 and a caller in mid pos... im on the button and look down at AA again... i make it 1325... the initial raiser calls and only has maybe 3600 left and the flatter folds... flop K 10 10 two clubs. he checks... the pot is about 3k so i dont wanna just shove but i also want him to think he has room to make a move... so i bet 1500 and expect him to shove or fold and he just calls... leaving himself with 2100. I immediately think he has KK or TT but im not folding to anything cuz he could have AK or KQ or even QQ JJ... so turn is an A... and he checks so i check behind... wanting him to shove the river and if he has KK or AK hes gonna call anyway. so river 4 and he shoves his 2100 i snap call and flip over Aces full and he shows KK and then mucks his hand... cooler obv up to about 28k. next time i was in the bb i received a walk and i look down at AA yet again and am disgusted lol
Very next hand after the walk with AA... the c/o opens to 450.... i have QQ in the sb and 3b to 1325... the bb is the aggro pro guy who 4bets to 3500 and has about 14.4k total... i take about 10 seconds and then 5 bet shove my stack and he says, "o this is so sick i dont think i can fold this, i call, i call. and flips AKoff and i show QQ and we are flipping for 29k pot. flop comes out first 2 cards J 10... 3rd card Q lol top set vs nut str8... i need the board to pair obv to win... turn 3 and river looks like a 3 but is a 2 so the guy doubles up thru me and we basically trade stacks. im down to about 13k
I 3 bet once with A8cc from the bb after a sb raised and he folded then 3 bet an utg raiser with AK and he called and then folded to my cbet on a Q 2 5 board... and then i raised QQ on the c/o with the sb sitting out and the aggro guy made it 1600 and i just 4 bet shoved and he folded showing an A. so i was being pretty active at the table. At the dinner break i had 16.9k... Within 30 minutes of starting play again... 4 new players were put at my table... johannes strassman, mike mcdonald, david benyamines wife, and the online guy Zigmund... all 4 solid players... well benyamines wife was fairly tight... so i was like o great now i have a table full of sharks... i lose about 3k just calling some raises in multi way pots with mid pairs and folding to cbets
Im at about 13.8k and i get A10 in the sb with everyone folded to me so i raise to 850 and the same aggro guy makes it 2800 from the bb... i decide i have good fold equity and it would be a nice increase to my stack if i shove and he folds... so i go all in and he snap calls with AQ... suckout time! flop 10s 3x 3s he has AsQx... turn Jd so i need to dodge a 7 outer and river 8s whew. my one suckout for my tourney life is now complete so i cant have any more for the rest of the tourney. About 5 hands later i open utg +2 to 850 with KK and SAME GUY 3bets me again to 2800 having about a 17k stack total. i make it 7600 and he says ok im all in i snap call and flip over KK and he tables QQ and looks disgusted. board 8 7 4 2 10 ship it... so i bust the guy and now have about 46k...
luckily strassman busted mcdonald, and zigmund got moved to another table. so with 3 of the 4 most feared players gone from the table... i start to go to work... stealing pot after pot after pot... i wasnt even writing them down really cuz i was opening like 3 or 4 hands per orbit and facing opposition maybe 1 out of 6 times... i cold 4 bet once with AK out of the bb after strassman opened to 1200 and button made it 3200... they each had like 14k stacks and i made it 8700... they both folded and the 3better told me later he had AK.
I get my stack to about 53k and on the 2nd to last hand of the night... im in the sb and the button who is a solid online tourney player opens to 1700... i make it 4925 with QQ and he tanks for about 20 seconds and then pushes in his 26k stack... i snap call and he shows A9... flop 8 6 5 turn 3 river J... ship the monies HUGE stack now.... finished the night with 79.3k and im in 2nd out of the players from day 1a. wooohooooo!

So now i have about 13k... next pot i open to 150 with TT and get 3 callers... flop 9d 2d 3x... i bet 400.. 1st guy folds 2nd guy calls 3rd guy folds. turn 6d... he checks i check. river 8d... 4 diamonds out there and he leads 600... i check my cards not sure if i have the T of d or T of hearts... i see i dont have a diamond but still call anyway which i think was a pretty awful call... b/c he bet about 2/5 pot which im only beating a bluff... even if he flips a set and is block betting i lose.... well he had QQ with Q of d so i muck my hand and am down to about 11.6k
I pick up 78cc facing a raise to 175 and a call... so i flat on the c/o... button flats behind flop A 7 7 rainbow... initial raise bets into 3 players 525. first guy folds i quickly flat to make it look like i have an A and want him to stop betting so that if he has AK or AQ he will fire the turn for sure. turn 5 no flush draw out there at all. he takes a second and then bets 1350... i quickly flat again to make him think i want him to slow down. but also i dont want to raise there b/c he would only play with AA if he is a good player or A7 but early pos raiser prolly AA is only thing he would have AK i think he folds to turn raise maybe not tho. so river is J and he takes like 15 seconds before betting 1350 again... so now i know 100% he doesnt have AA and i know my 7 is good... so i put in a raise to 3500... and he takes 30 seconds or so to call... i show he mucks. up to 17k
I have 77 in mid pos raise to 275 w/ 50 100 blinds... good player on my left flats and everyone else folds, flop comes K 8 5 rainbow.... i bet 350 he calls... turn 4... i pick up gutshot... i check he bets 850 and i call thinking maybe he is floating with AQ or something and i want to fire a big bet if i hit 7 or 6 on river and maybe get paid if he has KQ ish. river J... i check he bets 2700 and i quickly fold... I 3bet the guy to my left twice with one orbit... once with J 10 and 2nd time with AK from sb to his button raise...
Im sitting with about 16k and i look down at rockets (AA)... there is a limper utg, so i make it 475 utg +2... limper is only caller... flop 10 5 3 rainbow and the guy donk leads for 800... i think about just calling but i think a call there looks really strong and he will only play on turn if he has one pair beat... so i decide to raise to 2100... im expected him to shove or fold b/c he has about 6300 left... he just calls and leaves himself with about 5k. turn J... he checks... and i shove my stack in pot was already about 5100 and he had 5k so he instantly folded and i put up the pot.
Im at about 19.1k and i am in the bb with 78 off... the sb completes (75/150 level) and i check... we are heads up. flop A 6 4 rainbow... he bets full pot 300... i call to float... also i figure a 5 is the joint and 7 or 8 may be good for 2nd pair. turn 5 NUTS! he checks i bet 500 and he quickly calls so i figure now he actually does have the A... river K he checks i bet 1500 and he quickly calls again and mucks to my 7 8 nuts... and said nh i had A3. up to 21.5k

I immediately think he has KK or TT but im not folding to anything cuz he could have AK or KQ or even QQ JJ... so turn is an A... and he checks so i check behind... wanting him to shove the river and if he has KK or AK hes gonna call anyway. so river 4 and he shoves his 2100 i snap call and flip over Aces full and he shows KK and then mucks his hand... cooler obv up to about 28k. next time i was in the bb i received a walk and i look down at AA yet again and am disgusted lol
Very next hand after the walk with AA... the c/o opens to 450.... i have QQ in the sb and 3b to 1325... the bb is the aggro pro guy who 4bets to 3500 and has about 14.4k total... i take about 10 seconds and then 5 bet shove my stack and he says, "o this is so sick i dont think i can fold this, i call, i call. and flips AKoff and i show QQ and we are flipping for 29k pot. flop comes out first 2 cards J 10... 3rd card Q lol top set vs nut str8... i need the board to pair obv to win... turn 3 and river looks like a 3 but is a 2 so the guy doubles up thru me and we basically trade stacks. im down to about 13k
I 3 bet once with A8cc from the bb after a sb raised and he folded then 3 bet an utg raiser with AK and he called and then folded to my cbet on a Q 2 5 board... and then i raised QQ on the c/o with the sb sitting out and the aggro guy made it 1600 and i just 4 bet shoved and he folded showing an A. so i was being pretty active at the table. At the dinner break i had 16.9k... Within 30 minutes of starting play again... 4 new players were put at my table... johannes strassman, mike mcdonald, david benyamines wife, and the online guy Zigmund... all 4 solid players... well benyamines wife was fairly tight... so i was like o great now i have a table full of sharks... i lose about 3k just calling some raises in multi way pots with mid pairs and folding to cbets

About 5 hands later i open utg +2 to 850 with KK and SAME GUY 3bets me again to 2800 having about a 17k stack total. i make it 7600 and he says ok im all in i snap call and flip over KK and he tables QQ and looks disgusted. board 8 7 4 2 10 ship it... so i bust the guy and now have about 46k...
luckily strassman busted mcdonald, and zigmund got moved to another table. so with 3 of the 4 most feared players gone from the table... i start to go to work... stealing pot after pot after pot... i wasnt even writing them down really cuz i was opening like 3 or 4 hands per orbit and facing opposition maybe 1 out of 6 times... i cold 4 bet once with AK out of the bb after strassman opened to 1200 and button made it 3200... they each had like 14k stacks and i made it 8700... they both folded and the 3better told me later he had AK.
I get my stack to about 53k and on the 2nd to last hand of the night... im in the sb and the button who is a solid online tourney player opens to 1700... i make it 4925 with QQ and he tanks for about 20 seconds and then pushes in his 26k stack... i snap call and he shows A9... flop 8 6 5 turn 3 river J... ship the monies HUGE stack now.... finished the night with 79.3k and im in 2nd out of the players from day 1a. wooohooooo!
well i had to save this post and actually post it 6 hours later b/c the internet stopped working so here it is finally... day 2 tomorrow at 3 pm GL ME!

Its 5:15 am, and I am now semi-settled in Barcelona. str8 chillin with my bois... felipe "mojave" ramos, and team pros andre akkari and alex gomes. we are all lined up right now downstairs at our hotel in some conference center each using our laptops to go online and what not.... im crashing for the night on felipe and andre's hotel room floor b/c my friend sam apparently does not have a hotel room until 2moro... so when he showed up last night they told him they were booked so he went to another hotel without letting me kno lol
Anyways the last 24 hours have been to say the least interesting. At exactly 5:15 am yesterday, i was deep in 2 donkaments on pokerstars, not yet in the money tho. I was fairly deep in the 1050 2nd chance, and the 320 2nd chance. I was insanely tired and not looking forward to having to be ready to go in the hotel lobby at 9:15 am but i figured I was going to go deep in at least one of these tourneys so i would just stay up all night... well anyways i ended up getting absolutely screwed in the 1050 and busted about 35 spots away from the money. lost Q10 vs AK all in on a T hi flop... which made me shortstacked with 7 bbs which i called off from the sb with KQ to a button shove with 64ss board ran Ks Qh 6c 10s 2s weeeeeeee lolaments. then i ended up donking off the 320 and bubbling 174th... 171 got paid... shipped 33 from the sb to a button raise and the bb had QQ. i suck i kno so i went 0 for 4 on tourneys yesterday 3 screwjobs and 1 screwup :(
so i end up passing out around 6:30 am after quickly packing up all my crap. I set my phone alarm for 8:45 am so that ill be in the lobby ready to join the group im supposed to travel with to barcelona. I had already bought a train ticket which was scheduled to leave at 11:40 am but a few people of the group had tickets for a train that was leaving at 10:30 and had one less stop than mine. So my plan was to exchange mine or just get a new one no biggie. So OBV my alarm does not wake me up or i turned it off or whatever but somehow by the grace of God i wake up naturally at 10:45 am.... in a crazy panic, i quickly grab all my stuff and check out, grab a cab to the train station. I make my train in time by about 10 minutes and am off to my first stop...
We pull in around 1:42 and my next train leaves at 3 pm. Im looking at all the destination boards and screens and everything is obviously in french and it doesnt have my next destination up there and the gates or whatever you call it arent posted yet... so im asking everyone i see... excuse me, do you speak english? finally i got someone who did, who was able to explain to me that my destination was up there but it was under a different name which was the "final" destination of where my train was going. So this guy was going on the same train as me, so i just kinda kept my eye on him and followed him where he went. lol when we finally got to the train... i showed my ticket and asked what car am i in... guy said you are in car 1... this is car 17 (pointed to the left) o yay i only have to walk about a half mile to my car i had to take like 3 breaks, mind you i have about 120 lbs worth of luggage... and im not exactly the strongest guy in the world. ill go to the gym if i want to work out... but i really dont want to feel me?
So now this train is delayed like 10 mins and im supposed to have like 18 minutes in between arriving at the next stop and getting on the next train... so we end up getting there at 4:56 pm and my last train to barcelona is leaving at 5 pm... which also everyone from the group should be on this train now. so luckily the train was really close and i was able to get on really quick. so i text my friend noah who is supposed to be on this train:
Me: Where all you donks at?
Noah: Where r u- did you get abducted? we called u, knocked on ur door
Me: Serious? I somehow woke up at 10:45.... (whole story etc) im in car 2
Noah: we missed the train. we had to hire a driver to take us to barcelona
WOW! so it actually worked out perfectly that i didnt wake up, didnt hear them or anything and made my original train... so i just chill on this train... watched part of a movie till my laptop died, listened to some music on my ipod and relax finally, not stressing bout making my next train, getting off at the right stop, so stressful.
I arrive at the hotel only to find out that i actually don't have a room for the night but in trying to find internet to contact Sam online, i bumped into akkari and then found felipe and they were cool with letting me crash.... so here i sit with my friends chillin in SPAIN.... YA BOI!!! more to come later from this... 2moro im probably going to go to the beach with felipe and then maybe see what games are running at the casino or play online before the EPT awards ceremony which I have to be at the pre party thing for pictures or what not at like 7 or 7:30 i think. O ya for those who don't know, I was nominated for 2 of the 6 EPT awards.... (crossing fingers) lol jk i dont really care if i win but its an honor to be nominated. HOLLER!

ship the monies!! back to the grind...
So I went to sleep last night around 6:30 am, having not set an alarm i woke up around 5 pm. slept for a good 10 and a half hours and felt kind of refreshed... even though i had a very weird and strange dream... which i will not talk about on here lol. thats right it was both weird and strange! so anyways i decided that i needed to get rid of the beard that i had let grow for about 2 weeks. shaved that crap off and got a shower and made my way to the casino around 7:30. i get to the casino just in time to watch noah bust the main event of the partouche poker tour...
gus hansen had opened the cutoff to 22k and noah 3 bet half of his stack to 110k from the small blind... i assumed he was planning on snapping off the rest of his stack if gus were to put him in which gus immediately did... but suprisingly (to me) he tanked for about a minute before calling with AJ.... gus had AK and it held. afterwards me and noah got into a discussion about why he took so long and he told me he was thinking about folding saying there was better spots.... i told him he should have 3 bet smaller to like 60-65k if he was planning on folding to a ship... (difference of opinion) all good w/e
anywhoooo.... so i went to see what cash games were running... i put my name on the list for 50/100 NL and 20/40 NL because the only game that was running was 3 tables of 10/20 NL... so i sat down at one of those tables and it was kind of a dead game most guys sitting with like 1k... so i was at that game for about 1 hour and was down maybe 500 euros before the 20/40 opened up.... i played that game for about 3 hours and made 3200 euros before the 50/100 game finally was going to start so i was up around 2700 euros....
i went to the 50/100 game and sat with 6k... everyone else at the table was sitting with 5k to start its really weird that all of the cash games here the standard buyin is 50 bbs... very strange neways... i take down a few nice pots on bluffs we are playing 6 handed right now... 1 huge donk at the table... he stacks off right away to another player... and reloads another 5k...
i open like 2nd to act with 97dd in a 6 handed game this donk flats me from the sb and the bb flats me as well. flop comes 8 6 2 with one diamond... they both check to me i bet 450 planning on shoving if the donk raises me cuz he does that with air alot or 2nd pair and folds... and if the solid player in the bb raises me i would put him on a set and peel one for the nuts 10 or 6 obv... so anyways the sb donk guy flats me and bb folds... turn is an A... he checks and i try to rep the A and i bet 800... thinking back i probably should have checked b/c i dont this guy doesnt give up on hands easily.... so the guy flats and the river binks a 5... so i got the NUTS... he donks into me 2k and has like 1100 left so i shove and he folds lol... ship it...
I end up taking pot after pot playing really well and getting it in good... stealing pots here and there... I sucked out once kinda huge...
Donkish older guy opens utg in an 8 handed game to 300 with a 4200 stack... solid guy on hi jack flats... im on button with AKo i make it 1300... donk guy in the small blind shoves for 3300... im obv calling this but then the utg guy re shoves for his 4200... now i have a decision to make... im calculating the odds and how i have to call 2900 more for a pot that is already like 6k... so i figure if neither has AA then its the right call. i put the utg guy on QQ KK AA AK and the sb guy i figured TT+ AK... so i call... i ask them, "either of you got aces" utg guy says yea i do! im like ahhh great! flop Qh 10c 8h... turn Jh the guy in the sb starts celebrating so im like thinking does he have a flush? no he must have JJ and think he is good... river 8 so now im like o man he filled up now... so he flips 9 9 lol and im like o i got that beat show my AK and dude with AA is super pissed and shows his AA and gets up and leaves as the dealer ships the 11k pot to me weeeeeeeeeeee! so ya that was my one suckout... otherwise i think i pretty much just ran ok and played perfect. made about 26k euros tonight SHIP IT! so i got all my money back from the tobacle that was yesterday.

Worst day of my life... $ wise
If four years ago when i first started playing online poker, someone told me that I would eventually lose 35,000$ in one day, I probably would have told them they were crazy. well 4 years later and here i am stuck 35k at the end of a terrible terrible night.
Day started out with me going to the casino to register for the 1500 2nd chance tournament. I got there at about 4:20 and the tournament started at 5. I registered right away and then was bored for about 5 mins and decided to go play roulette with a couple thousand before the tournament started. You should know something about me though... I really enjoy playing roulette, its alot of fun in my opinion. one of the only house edge games that i actually enjoy playing... sometimes i feel like i have an edge using the system that i do but i know deep down inside that i really dont. So anyways I play roulette for about 25 mins and I lost almost every spin and was stuck about 3100 euros and then left pretty disgusted to go play the tourney.
I sit down at the tournament and try to forget about the fact i lost 3100 euros already and focus on playing a solid game. we start with 12k i get up to about 14k and then i play this very interesting hand. I open the c/o with 54dd to 400 with blinds 75 150, button flats and bb calls also. Flop 6d 8h 10d. bb checks i bet 850 planning on shoving if i get raised by one of the guys and hoping to just take it down with this bet. the button makes it 2k kinda small re raise... i didnt really think about what he had i just was going with my initial thought or pushing it. bb folds... instead of shoving i throw in everything except a 5k chip... the guy quickly asks the dealer how much is the bet? and then throws in the calling chips and thinking that i was all in he goes to flip over his cards and as the dealer is stopping him saying im not all in I see one of his cards, the K of Diamonds. So now i know he has either KQ dd or KK. the turn comes and 8 so now i kno im losing right now obviously cuz i have frickin 5 hi. so i decide to check b/c if i go all in he is calling anyway and if he has KK he will push me in on the turn, but if he has KQdd he may just check behind and then i can bet the river if no K comes and just hope he missed and will fold. So he quickly checks behind and the river is a K... so i know im dead i cant bet he wont fold so i just check and he goes to bet... i tell him i saw the king and i muck my hand. he apologizes for exposing his hand and i kind of chuckle but w/e at least i still have 5k chips.
I spew off 2k more and am left with 3k... i pick up TT utg and i limp in planning on shoving if there is a raise. 2 other guys limp in and one guy makes it 800... folds around to me i ship 3k total and he asks how much it is and then puts in the chips. i flip over TT and he nods and then flips over JJ im like cool nice slowroll nodding like im good with TT... flop A J 2 all clubs i have the T of clubs. turn 3 of clubs flush! river obv 3 pair the board gg me.
I get up and obviously head back to the roulette table to try to get my 3100 back i lost from earlier. I rollercoaster back and forth get stuck about 9k and get all of that back and end THAT session even... so still stuck 3100 on roulette. I go to eat dinner with a couple guys from poker battle and after dinner realize its 8 pm and the first wcoop event starts at 8:30 pm here. so i head back to the hotel to play it.
I quickly get my stack up from 3k to 9500 lose a couple pots and with 8500 i limp Q8 from the sb, bb checks flop is Qc 3 7c i bet 200 he makes it 600 and i ship my stack he had like 3800 left to call he takes like 30 seconds and then calls with bottom 2 which should be a snap call imo... i dont kno why but i was getting slowrolled all day so gross. wait till the end folks wait till the end. so then i have bout 4500 left and i play a pot a few mins later. c/o min raises to 200 (50/100) i make it 600 with A9dd on button bb cold calls the 3bet and c/o folds... flop is Kd 2c 5d... so he checks to me i cbet 950 planning on calling a shove... he insta ships i snap call he has JJ brick brick turn river and im out.... nh not sure why donks play this way but w/e.
So now i head back to the casino hoping to play some cash games and maybe try to get my 3100 back at roulette. Instead of going to see what games were running i go straight to the roulette wheel. I start hitting numbers left and right missing a few outside bets... i get to where im only stuck 500 on the day in roulette and i proceed to give away everything 12100 euros total down on roulette for the day... i bet 1st and 3rd 12 i think 3 times in a row and missed all 3. 1k on each then 1600 on each then 2400 on each. left me with 1700 in front of me which i put on 19-36 and it missed as well. so now im sick to my stomach feeling like an absolute idiot b/c i just dumped basically all my profits from last night.
Side note : I had told a few friends that if i ever got to where i was down or even on roulette, lifetime, then i would stop playing. Well i was up about 12k lifetime before today so after losing that 18k us$ im stuck 6k and done forever! me and my friend noah agreed tonight that if one of us sees the other one at a table game we owe the other person 5 grand. So yea im done.
So i go to where the cash games are running and there is a full table of 50 100 NL running... same game i played last night... same donks too. i put my name on the waiting list and im 5th on the frickin list so i know im going to have to wait a while b/c any good player wont leave that game with those fish there and the fish have tons of money to reload with. So i sit at another table while i wait which was 20 40 NL and i lost maybe 400 euros in like 3 hours... barely played any hands card dead. i finally get called in for the big game... i go sit down and there are only like 2 bad players left. i only have 9600 euros on me rest is at the hotel. so i sit with that. I cant hit a hand to save my life... i think i had 88 and below probably 12-14 times and i flopped one set and got no action.... which was so frickin weird for that game b/c guys were stacking off SO LIGHT. top pair A kicker stack off everytime it was so sick. i lost 100 here 200 here 300 here. near the end of the night i was so frustrated... it was 4:15 am and the floorman said 3 more hands to end the night... im in the bb and there are 5 limpers. I look down at pocket 7s... i only have 4900 in my stack so i just shove it in tilt shove obv. first limper folds 2nd limper is counting out chips as the other 2 guys fold out of turn. i dont even realize this guy is still in the hand and am joking with another guy about how i have to go all in to win a pot. someone informs me this guy is going to call me as the old man puts in the call. the guy was a huge nit so i figured bigger pair was hoping he had limped AK. flop 6 4 4 turn 9 river 6 decent board. guy doesnt do anything right away so i say outloud pocket 7s. he nods his head so i flip over my 77. he nods his head AGAIN and then tables 2 queens. im like what the hell. slowroll of the century. wanted to jump across the table and shove the chips down this guys throat. not only do this french players play terrible.... they have no sense of proper poker etiquette whatsoever. so ya i lost 10k euros at that game 12.1k at roulette and 1.5k at the 2nd chance... plus 215$ online. totally approx 35k us$ for the day.... sigh im gonna get it 2gether soon... you'll see.
Day started out with me going to the casino to register for the 1500 2nd chance tournament. I got there at about 4:20 and the tournament started at 5. I registered right away and then was bored for about 5 mins and decided to go play roulette with a couple thousand before the tournament started. You should know something about me though... I really enjoy playing roulette, its alot of fun in my opinion. one of the only house edge games that i actually enjoy playing... sometimes i feel like i have an edge using the system that i do but i know deep down inside that i really dont. So anyways I play roulette for about 25 mins and I lost almost every spin and was stuck about 3100 euros and then left pretty disgusted to go play the tourney.
I sit down at the tournament and try to forget about the fact i lost 3100 euros already and focus on playing a solid game. we start with 12k i get up to about 14k and then i play this very interesting hand. I open the c/o with 54dd to 400 with blinds 75 150, button flats and bb calls also. Flop 6d 8h 10d. bb checks i bet 850 planning on shoving if i get raised by one of the guys and hoping to just take it down with this bet. the button makes it 2k kinda small re raise... i didnt really think about what he had i just was going with my initial thought or pushing it. bb folds... instead of shoving i throw in everything except a 5k chip... the guy quickly asks the dealer how much is the bet? and then throws in the calling chips and thinking that i was all in he goes to flip over his cards and as the dealer is stopping him saying im not all in I see one of his cards, the K of Diamonds. So now i know he has either KQ dd or KK. the turn comes and 8 so now i kno im losing right now obviously cuz i have frickin 5 hi. so i decide to check b/c if i go all in he is calling anyway and if he has KK he will push me in on the turn, but if he has KQdd he may just check behind and then i can bet the river if no K comes and just hope he missed and will fold. So he quickly checks behind and the river is a K... so i know im dead i cant bet he wont fold so i just check and he goes to bet... i tell him i saw the king and i muck my hand. he apologizes for exposing his hand and i kind of chuckle but w/e at least i still have 5k chips.
I spew off 2k more and am left with 3k... i pick up TT utg and i limp in planning on shoving if there is a raise. 2 other guys limp in and one guy makes it 800... folds around to me i ship 3k total and he asks how much it is and then puts in the chips. i flip over TT and he nods and then flips over JJ im like cool nice slowroll nodding like im good with TT... flop A J 2 all clubs i have the T of clubs. turn 3 of clubs flush! river obv 3 pair the board gg me.
I get up and obviously head back to the roulette table to try to get my 3100 back i lost from earlier. I rollercoaster back and forth get stuck about 9k and get all of that back and end THAT session even... so still stuck 3100 on roulette. I go to eat dinner with a couple guys from poker battle and after dinner realize its 8 pm and the first wcoop event starts at 8:30 pm here. so i head back to the hotel to play it.

Hello to whoever ends up reading this... so i finally decided to start a blog. I've been meaning to for about a year now... and out of sheer boredom finally finally got around to it.
My name is Jason Mercier, I am a 21 yr old, professional poker player.
I am in Cannes, France right now where I will be for 3 more days before heading off to barcelona for the first EPT event of this season. I arrived here the morning of the 2nd. The whole reason for coming was to play in the main event of the Partouche Poker tour (8500 euros buyin). I have already been knocked out of the event, which i played on day 1a. I am very bitter about this tournament, because it was the first time ever that i showed up over an hour late for a live event. I had forgot to bring my real alarm clock with me for the duration of this trip, so i set my phone alarm for 1:30 pm (tournament to start at 3 pm). the phone alarm never went off or if i did i turned it off without realizing it, and i woke up at 4:05... showing up to the casino, unshowered, at 4:25. i had missed the whole first level of blinds and seeing as how there was one good player and 7 donks at my table, it was probably very crucial.
The tourney started off very brutal, I had raised 2 pots out of the first 4 hands i was dealt. One i was 3 bet and the other i stole the blinds. On the 5th hand, i had 55 in mid pos, raised to 300 at 50 100 level. cutoff shoves for 2400. dude looks like a donk and normally i would fold but didnt feel like he had a pair so i called. he shows 7 10 hh lol. i smile as the flop comes J 9 2 turn 3 river 7... bink! classic race situation eh 7 10 vs 55 haha. nh sir. im down to about 17000. I end up getting down to about 15k before i double up with the ol 2 3 off. there were about 5 limpers and i was on the button. i made it 1050. btw the players here are so terrible its shocking really. its like san remo all over again. the 2nd limper flats and everyone else folds. im assuming he has a mid pair 66-TT is what i put him on. flop comes 4 5 8 rainbow and he donks in for 2k. I flat trying to rep a big pair. obv an A i kno im good maybe just rep something big fire turn small if he checks and ship river if he calls turn. anyways turn 3 and he bets 2k again. at this point he looks very annoyed that i called turn but i can tell he doesnt think i have much. i decide that i should probably just call seeing as how im priced in now. figure a 2 3 6 and A are all winning cards for me. River: 3 he bets 2k once more, if he had bet like 4 or 5k i may have just called but the 2k on the river is obv block bet with 66 77 99, 89 A8 etc imo. I wait about 5 seconds and shove my 10100 in. he tanks for about a minute and throws the chips in. i show 2 3 off ding! and he about loses his mind lol. eventually telling someone else at the table he had pocket nines. so i doubled to about 31k on that hand. Got up to about 34k and then hand after hand of spewtastic poker... i lost pretty much every hand i played after that... getting 3 bet every time i opened and never having a decent hand to play back and guys flipping KK, AA, AK every time i folded. guys hands were so transparent and i was sitting there helpless and card dead.
On my bust hand, the blinds were 200 400 with a 50 ante, utg +1 limps, utg +2 limps, hi jack limps cut off limps and small blind completes. im in bb with KJdd and about 8k total in my stack. I figure there is enough dead money out there to shove and if i get called i figure ill be up against a pair or maybe A10. i shove, first 2 limpers fold and the dude in the hi jack agonizes for about 90 seconds before making the call. the other 2 guys quickly muck and dude flips AK... i was shocked to say the least at how long he took to call. he was a huge fish btw. whatever... Q 8 6 A 2 and im out. GG me
I came back to the hotel and proceeded to spew 7k on 10 20 and 5 10 plo on stars... was just running really bad. Yesterday i woke up at 7 pm after sleeping for 13 hours! i cant remember the last time i slept for that long. i went over to the casino to see how my friends were doing in day 1b and planned on eating from the free buffet and then going to see if there were any cash games running. After dinner, i went over to the cash table(s) and saw a game was about to start. everyone had around 5k-7k in their stacks so i assumed it was the same game i had played 2 nights earlier 20 40 NL (euros). I had 6k in chips on me so i decided to sit with that, u cannot reload with cash and the cage is kind of far so i didnt want to risk not getting a seat. I found out when the game started that it was 50 100 NL (euros) which is kind of a big game for me... its like 75 150$ NL... but my 6k covered everyone except 1 kid and there were 2 young kids and like 7 older guys (donks usually)... so i decided to stay and play. 7 and a half hours later I left the game with 22910 euros. SHIP IT! such a soft game... guys were so bad. ill explain more later if i get the chance.
Anyways im going to play the 2nd chance tournament today. 1500 euro buyin, its a 2 day tournament, 10k starting stack, 40 min levels 25 50 to start. should be an insanely soft field, considering most of the good players are still in the main event. and if i bust im gonna try to play that cash game again. well this completes my first blog entry ever hope to do more soon.
