Run like the sun!

So I know I have been doing a terrible job of blogging… lol I got tired of it pretty quickly. I discovered that I’m definitely way too lazy to record or write down a lot of hands while I play a tournament and then put them up on here. So ill try to update this sometimes but I may stop updating it all together, we will see. Right now, I’m in an airplane flying home yay! So im typing this and will save it and post it later. I have to stop in Atlanta though before flying home to Ft Laudy daudy.

As most of yall prolly already know, yesterday turned out to be an absolutely amazing day for me. I had made it to day 2 of the High Rollers EPT London 20k pound buyin tournament. I was 3rd in chips entering the day, and seeing as how there were 14 players left and only 9 got paid, I was hoping to make history and become the 1st player to every claim 2 EPT titles. Well, my dream came true, I managed to outlast, outplay, and outflip the remaining 13 other players and achieve my goal. The final table was amazingly stacked with pros. 4 online whiz kids, if you will, Isaac Haxton, Michael Watson (recent WPT Bellagio cup champ, and Peter Jetten (2nd place in 10k PLO at wsop), and me of course lol. Then the likes of John Juanda, Scotty Nguyen, David Benyamine, and Isabelle Mercier (my sister obv jk jk), and one high roller amateur.

The final table was pretty grueling, I had to be very very patient and pick my spots well. In the previous 2 final tables I had made on this trip, I had been the one pushing the action at the final table trying to put pressure on guys and get involved in big pots. This time around, I kinda wanted to sit back and develop a sort of tight image and just pick my spots carefully. My strategy worked pretty perfectly as I was able to make some fairly light 3 bets when we got down to 3 and 4 handed, and also light opens from utg 5 handed. It was pretty amazing how everything came all together, I almost feel like I don’t deserve it seeing as how my first win was a mere 6 months ago. I’ve accomplished in 6 months what most poker players hope to accomplish in a span of 5 years.

I got very lucky in day 1 of this event as well, sucked out 3 times when I was dominated, twice for my tourney life. What can I say, I’m running hotter than the sun. I feel like it would absolutely foolish of me to not continue playing big events till the end of the year… like I was telling some of you guys, I’m basically freerolling with rakeback and my equity is so high. My next trip is to Niagara falls for the WPT event there, I’m going to be leaving on the 10th. Lol only gonna be home 3 days sick I kno. Ill have time to spend at home when im older right?
This whole trip was pretty amazing, I wish I wouldn’t have been so lazy and woulda actually gone sight seeing a bit, or taken more pictures. But whatever ill be back to Europe soon im sure. Wouldn’t you go back if you shipped 7 figs each trip lol. Aight enough bragging, seriously though, I appreciate all the support from my friends and family who watched the final tables and updates so fervently. You guys are the greatest. It really does inspire me to try and play my best and do well, knowing all of you are watching. Well that’s it for now pe@ce!
